The visit to the fortress is an adventurous journey that guests can undertake independently – via the panoramic lifts that lead to the top of the fortress, or by walking through the medieval village of Bard and continuing along the charming pedestrian path that runs alongside the monumental complex.
Four permanent museums await you, including the Prisons and the Alps Museum, along with numerous temporary art and photography exhibitions of international standing.

Lunch in the Sala della Polveriera is a journey through the flavors of the region — an opportunity to taste our traditional local dishes inside the fortress restaurant, now located in what was once the Powder Magazine, where gunpowder and ammunition were stored. Featuring a side nave and a central hall — atmospheric and decorated with large-scale works by the artist Marco Del Re — the space combines history, art, and gastronomy in a unique setting.
